Greta Bar
YVR
GRETA brought its Calgary-born arcade bar concept to Vancouver with a mix of games, food, drinks, and a little friendly competition. Its arrival called for marketing that matched the energy inside.
Kindred supported in introducing GRETA to the city through local partnerships, influencer outreach, events, social media, and original content. The work connected the excitement of opening with ongoing reasons to visit.

What We've Done for Greta

Social Media Management
The social channels kept the invitation open, giving followers a regular view of what was happening and a reason to make plans.
A structured content calendar connected events, promotions, and weekly programming through reels, feed posts, and stories. Planning, writing, and publishing kept the channels active and the messaging consistent.

Content Creation
GRETA had plenty of personality. The content needed to keep up, capturing the humour, food, games, and social atmosphere that made the venue its own.
Original copy, graphics, photos, and edited videos translated that character into material for campaigns and everyday promotion, giving each announcement a voice that felt familiar to the brand.

Photo Shoot Coordination
From setting the scene for an upcoming campaign to documenting a night in full swing, photography brought GRETA’s events and personality into its marketing.
Courtney coordinated photographers and captured content directly, creating a mix of planned campaign imagery and candid event coverage for social media and promotional materials.

Influencer Gift Packages
The first invitation set the tone. Custom gift boxes introduced GRETA’s personality to a curated group of Vancouver creators ahead of the alley pre-launch party.
From sourcing influencers and managing outreach to designing the boxes and selecting their contents, every detail supported a memorable introduction. The initiative helped generate strong attendance and local promotion before the doors officially opened.

Heartbreak Hotel: Valentine’s Event
Bad dates made good material. Heartbreak Hotel turned modern dating misadventures into a Valentine’s concept built around humour, shared stories, and a night out.
Kindred developed the concept and campaign, bringing together a wall of comical breakup graphics, feature cocktails, and a dedicated photoshoot. The theme carried from the venue into promotional content, giving the event a distinct personality.

Christmas at GRETA
Subtle wasn’t on the Christmas list. An over-the-top seasonal transformation gave guests another reason to gather, take photos, and share the GRETA experience.
Working closely with the in-house team and contracted partners, Kindred helped coordinate décor and event preparations throughout the venue, bringing GRETA’s playful character into the holiday season.

Pre-Launch Event Coordination
Before opening night, the party started in the alley. GRETA’s pre-launch event introduced the venue to a carefully selected mix of local guests and creators.
Support covered invitation planning, vendor coordination, setup, and teardown alongside social content capture. Footage was then edited and shared to carry the evening’s energy into the lead-up to opening.

Menu Rollout Photoshoots
A new menu deserved more than an announcement. Photoshoots showed the food as part of the GRETA experience: shared, enjoyed, and surrounded by good company.
For each rollout, Courtney coordinated photographers and staff to capture the new dishes in use. The resulting imagery supplied fresh content for the website, social media, and menu promotions.

Branded Promotional Materials
GRETA’s identity needed to travel beyond the venue. Branded merchandise and printed materials gave the business a presence at events, around the neighbourhood, and in guests’ everyday lives.
Local printers and production partners helped bring hats, posters, branded tents, and other promotional pieces to life, with coordination across design, production, and delivery.

GRETA × Make It!
A little friendly competition made GRETA an unexpected stop on the market floor. An arcade activation gave Make It! attendees a hands-on introduction to the brand.
Courtney coordinated the arcade setup, bringing games into the show and giving shoppers a reason to pause, play, and discover GRETA beyond its Vancouver location.

Cocktail Training Videos
Consistency behind the bar starts with a shared reference. A library of cocktail videos gave GRETA’s bartenders a practical guide to preparing the drinks on the menu.
Working with the GRETA team, Courtney filmed cocktail demonstrations and edited the footage into training materials for onboarding and ongoing staff reference.

Staff Appreciation
The people behind GRETA deserved their own moment in the spotlight. A staff barbecue and a personal recognition video created opportunities to celebrate the team and its contributions.
Courtney organized the barbecue and coordinated, filmed, and edited a tribute to a team member who had gone above and beyond. His recognition included a flight home to visit family in the UK—a meaningful thank-you for his dedication.
